JoAnn Caron One Pound CAL Clue 2

For Clue 2, I used Contrast B (Royalty). I had some issues with maintaining my sides. I thought I was on a “roll”, but in the end this square is smaller than Clue 1. I’m confused because they were supposed to be the same size. Also, it seems that where I joined I have some extra stitches.

The way the popcorn stitch is done is this pattern was different than in others I had done in the past. Since this Clue is a smaller size, I am not sure what will happen with the final size. I might try again later this week. I’ll have to buy another skein if I want to do it again.

Here’s what I have right now:

I also took a closeup so that the pattern could be seen (but the color gets lost):

JoAnn Caron One Pound CAL Clue 1

I’ve never done a CAL, so when the JoAnn Caron One Pound was announced for this spring I decided to try it.

March 12 was the first day of the CAL. Clue 1 was released. The pdf pattern and instructions can be found here.

We got to choose our colors. Here’s what I decided on:

  • Contrast A – Dark Pink
  • Contrast B – Royalty
  • Contrast C – Light Violet

I finished Clue 1 today and am curious to see what the final project looks like. Here’s what mine looks like:
